    2Safe Links Policy

    Purpose: Protect users from clicking on malicious URLs in emails.

    Steps to Create a Safe Links Policy

    1. In the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal, go to Threat Policies > Safe Links.
    2. Click +Create to create a new Safe Links policy.
    3. Configure the policy:
      • Name: E.g., “Safe Links Protection Policy”.
      • Turn on URL scanning in emails and enable time-of-click verification.
      • Enable Do not track user clicks to maintain user privacy (optional).
      • Block the following URLs: Add any custom blocked URLs or domains to the list.
    4. Assign the policy to users, groups, or domains.
    5. Save and review the policy.
