3. Attack Simulation

Purpose: Test and train employees on phishing awareness.

Steps to Configure Attack Simulation

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal:
   Navigate to Email & Collaboration > Attack Simulation Training.
2. Set up a new simulation:
   • Click Simulations > +Create a Simulation.
   • Choose a threat type (e.g., Phishing, Credential Harvesting).
   • Select pre-built templates or create a custom phishing scenario.
3. Assign participants:
   • Target users or groups in your organization.
4. Configure training:
   • If employees fail the simulation, automatically enroll them in training courses.
5. Launch the simulation and track results:
   • Analyze metrics such as click rates and credential submissions.
