Phishing Protection Policy

Purpose: Block phishing attempts by identifying suspicious emails.

Steps to Create a Phishing Filter Policy

1. In the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal, go to Threat Policies > Anti-phishing policies.
2. Click +Create policy and select Custom policy.
3. Configure the policy:
   • Name: E.g., “Custom Anti-Phishing Policy”.
   • Enable Impersonation Protection:
     • Protect against spoofing for internal domains.
     • Add executives or VIPs to protect their identities.
   • Configure actions:
     • Quarantine detected phishing emails.
     • Send a user notification if an email is quarantined.
4. Assign to recipients or groups.
5. Save the policy.
