1. Spam Filtering Policy

Purpose: Block spam, bulk emails, and spoofing attempts.

Steps to Create a Spam Filter Policy

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal:
   https://security.microsoft.com
2. Navigate to Email & Collaboration > Policies & Rules > Threat Policies.
3. Under Anti-spam policies, click +Create policy and choose Custom policy.
4. Configure the policy:
   • Name: E.g., “Custom Spam Filtering Policy”
   • Spam Filter Settings:
     • Increase Spam Threshold Sensitivity: Choose 5 or higher.
     • Quarantine bulk emails: Enable this to block marketing or bulk messages.
     • Block emails with failed SPF, DKIM, or DMARC checks.
5. Assign to recipients:
   • Specify groups, domains, or users to apply this policy.
6. Save and review the settings.
